Sermon Upload: Choose ministers from list
When we choose the option to upload a sermon, it would be nice if we could choose ministers from a list rather than free text entry. Perhaps it could default to our local congregation. Maybe this would require a congregation to manage it's list of Ministers.
Group hymns by hymn book (filter option)
would like to have option to view hymns grouped by book, by NOT downloaded to facilitate downloading all.
Would also like to download whole hymn book or download all hymns.
Persistent notification bug
There is no good way to clear the player notification without force closing the app. It would be helpful to be able to swipe away the notification or have an X button in the top right corner of the notification.
App isn't showing all sermons
App isn't showing all sermons. I have a Samsung SM-J327V with Android version 7.0. I have no sermons from Gridley between 5-9-18 and 5-23, yet my wife's iphone shows 5. This has happened before with other congregations.
The Oct 2018 app releases refresh the database much more quickly and should hopefully fix these issues. Let us know if the issue persists.
Calendars
In-app calendars per church & viewing capability of selecting which church calendars you want to view (overlaying them) or just view all calendars to get ideas for your own church’s events. Thanks for the opportunity of getting to share our ideas for AC Central!
Prayer request notification stops
I haven't pinpointed exactly why and when, but I've noticed that I sometimes don't receive prayer request notifications for several days in a row. When I realize I haven't seen one for a day or two, I will open the app and then I'll start receiving them consistently again. If I don't open the app, I won't receive notifications until I do again. I think it might relate to when I re-start my phone, and it's like the app doesn't re-activate that feature until I open the app.
I'm using AC Central on a Samsung GS8 that I keep updated, and I'm happy to experiment to help figure out what might be happening.
SUGGESTION: include a field in this interface to register the phone hardware we're using
This is already possible. Just click the magnifying glass icon at the top right and you can filter sermons by keyword, speaker name, date and/or Bible passage.
Prayer tile
Really appreciate the prayer app, it seems to be Gateway heavy (so far), perhaps include Japan (and other locstions) individual missionaries and location needs, highlight our small churches, and the elder forums.
Make hymns searchable by number
Find hymns by searching for the number it is in the book.
Old sermons are still there. Use the search function and enter the data range you are looking for and you should see sermons going all the way back to the 1940s. That being said, there are not a lot of old sermons. It is up to each congregation to determine what historical sermons they wish to upload.
