Add AI feature to help select hymns relevant to a theme
I'm a songleader at Bluffton North. I often use the Hymns portion of AC Central to find an appropriate hymn by searching on a keyword in a sermon. A search on "miracle," however, doesn't produce much. Would you consider building an AC Central AI tool that could learn from all of the hymnals and be able to suggest songs even if they don't explicitly mention a topic.
For example, here is a search of Claude.ai for the following prompt: please suggest a couple of classic Christian hymns related to the theme of gratitude.
And here are the results. Obviously, not all of these are in our hymnals.
Here are some classic Christian hymns centered on the theme of gratitude:
1. **"Now Thank We All Our God"** - A timeless hymn of thanksgiving written by Martin Rinkart in the 17th century. It's a powerful expression of collective gratitude to God for His blessings and guidance.
2. **"Come, Ye Thankful People, Come"** - Written by Henry Alford in 1844, this harvest hymn celebrates God's provision and expresses gratitude for His blessings.
3. **"Great Is Thy Faithfulness"** - While focusing on God's constancy, this beloved hymn by Thomas Chisholm includes beautiful expressions of gratitude for God's daily provisions and care.
4. **"Count Your Blessings"** - A hymn that encourages believers to enumerate God's gifts as a way to express gratitude even during difficult times.
5. **"For the Beauty of the Earth"** - Written by Folliott S. Pierpoint in 1864, this hymn expresses thanksgiving for creation, human love, and God's gifts.
6. **"Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart"** - A more contemporary classic that directly focuses on giving thanks to God.
The first two in particular are traditional hymns that specifically focus on thanksgiving and gratitude and are widely known across many Christian denominations.

XM radio
Would love to have a Sirius XM radio channel of traditional a capella hymns.
That would be a great opportunity to familiarize non-AC's and younger generation AC's with traditional hymns. Modern songs titillate the senses sometimes too much; sometimes (or all the time?) ya just need simple truth & harmony in a peaceful delivery.
Especially the noisier & more raucous the world gets the more people crave peace. They could be browsing thru XM channels and think, "You know, this is actually quite lovely." The only tranquility-building channels are the meditation/spa channels.
I tried looking up costs to see if I could afford to support a channel financially - are we talkin' hundreds (yeah right), thousands or millions of $$, idk. But didn't find anything useful 😒
Over the years I've accumulated my own library of mp3 hymns, but I've given up on using all that data space on my phone just to listen to it in the car. And Pandora just doesn't get it quite right. For my own personal listening, I guess I should just bite the bullet and take years' worth of pix off my phone and put the music back on... 🤦🏽♀️

Sermon uploads fail
Some churches are experiencing problems uploading sermon files. Large files (>30MB) are more likely to fail. We believe this problem is now fixed, but if your church is still experiencing problems, please post a comment below.
Include the following:
- Name of church
- Size of file
- Time and date upload was attempted
- Did file eventually upload? If so, how many times did you have to try?
- What is your internet upload speed?

All AC Churches Member Directory
All AC churches members database, maybe through the website or AC Central app, where people could log in and update their contact info at any time. I get a lot of Fb messages of people asking for my address, so this could help people out with wedding lists and Christmas card lists, if nothing else. I know there would also be cons to a member database, but I think, too, it might come in handy. You could select members and label template, then have it generate a Word document that's formatted according to your labels template. Or just have it generate an Excel or Word document if it couldn’t be used with labels and people can convert the report into labels on their own.
Thanks!
