Multiple speed settings for sermon listening
Make users able to speed up or slow down sermon speed. (x0.5, x1.0, x1.5, x2.0, etc.. Or make a bar with which one can adjust to preferred speed)
This is included in next update to the Android app, available in a few days. NOTE: this only works on devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later.
Background downloading of sermons
Sermon downloads should happen in background so user can continue using app without waiting for downloads to complete.
The Oct 2018 iOS app now allows for background downloading when in specific Congregation / Studio / Event views. Queue up multiple files and continue using the app without waiting for them to complete.
Enable share function with hymn sheet music image
Be able to share the hymn music image image to social or save to my device.
We are not able to do this due to copyright restrictions on many of the hymns.
Enable copy/paste functionality on hymn lyric text
Would like to be able to copy portion of hymn lyric to share with others or paste into other documents.
Apple CarPlay
Is there a possibility to be compatible with CarPlay in the future? Meaning, AC Central being accessible from the CarPlay Home Screen?
We had our developers look into creating versions of AC Central for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for 2025. Unfortunately, this is cost prohibitive both from an initial dev. standpoint and also ongoing maintenance. So for now, this has been removed from our feature roadmap. This is not to say we would not reconsider at some point in the future if there is enough demand for it.
Repeat Song
It would be really handy to have a function to be able to put the song on repeat. When I use the hymn section to learn a song, I have to push play after each time it gets done. If I could select a "repeat" function, I could just let it go however long I wanted.
Handout during live service
We've had several occasions where handouts are passed out at church, but there is no option to upload a handout to show up in the live streaming area. As a work around, we have been uploading the handout to the sermon page before the service. I don't think many people access it though, since it's not very intuitive. It would be nice to have the option to upload a handout before that service. Then a button would show up indicating that a handout is available for download during the live service. Maybe it could time out, or just go away after a certain amount of time.
Swagger Doc
Hello. Is there a Swagger/OpenAPI Doc available for this service for extending this service to meet local church requirements? Or do we need to reverse engineer the service in order to utilize the APIs?
Night Time Mode
An option to have a night time mode (white-text on black background) would be convienent to have especially when traveling at night.
Complete range of features on website
I would like to see all the same features on the website as are on the mobile app. (especially the hymns)
Version 4 brings most of the app features to the desktop web version. Hymns, Silver Lining and Prayers were purposely omitted due to privacy and/or copyright issues.
