It would be nice if it was possible to cast the audio from a mobile device to Google Home or Amazon Echo or to integrate with Sonos.

Audio won't play on Iphone

I have an iphone 13 pro max and in the last two weeks, the audio won't play. it will simply be in downloading mode. I have no problems with the video as i can watch those. I have upgrade my iphone to ios 17.4.1 and i have deleted and reinstalled the app. I even tried to shut down my iphone and turn it back on. I can't seem to get it to work . Thoughts?

Improve Scrolling Through Hymns List

When scrolling through the list of hymns, the swipe to scroll is laggy and pauses. Also, when done with a hymn and go back to list, it restarts to the beginning. Previous app scrolled smooth and spot on list was mostly saved when going back from song. Not a big issue ,but something I noticed that is an inconvenience.

Starting with the 4.0.6 app update, you will be returned to where you had scrolled in the list, not start over at the top. This applies to all areas of the app. However, when scrolling through a long list of items, there will continue to be a periodic delay as the app needs to dynamically fetch new data from the cloud. This ensures the user always has the most current information.

Ability to Download Music

We used to use the app to download music to our phones when traveling Internationally with groups.  We are often out visiting sites (in Israel, Greece, etc.) where some don’t have data access away from hotels.  With the new version - we can no longer do that.

Live sermons cutting out

Maybe it's just me, but I've attempted listening to live sermons or a Bible study using an Android based phone since the update and can't hear the whole thing. So far I think whatever I've tried listening to has pulled up and I'll be able to start listening but after varying lengths of time there will be pauses. Sometimes the event will start coming through again for a time, but ultimately will stop eventually and a couple things may happen: 1) where the live stream had no time at the bottom right of the play length bar will appear the amount of time I had been listening. Then if I hit the play button I'll get to rehear what I had listened to for the amount of time I had just been listening. 2) the pause button may be visible with the motion indicating it is trying to refresh or whatever it is trying to do without ever getting anywhere.

If I go to the home page and select the same church's live stream again I'll come right back to the recently listened to sound clip or the circling pause button. If I select a different church and then go back to the original church I can start listening again for a time until the same issue happens again.

FWIW from someone who doesn't know a ton about technology. :-)

The latest app update (Jan. 2024) includes a new audio player for Android which seems to have fixed this livestream reliability issue, at least in our testing. If you still have problems after updating, let us know.

Bluetooth control of app

Since the update I cannot control the app over Bluetooth.  Previously had been been able to start, stop, etc via Bluetooth earbuds.  The app had never auto- stopped when getting a phone call.

Adding a dark mode would be less draining on devices batteries, and easier on those with sensitive eyes.

Hymn Sing

Dear Ones….It is such a blessing regarding all kinds of presentations, sermons, etc. that are available through ACCentral. When my health recently made me miss a lovely singing at the Fellowship Hall out of the Gospel Hymns, I had the thought of possible “Hymn Sings” being available on ACCentral. Just wanted to share my thoughts for possible consideration. Thank you and God Bless for all we do enjoy from AC Central.

Improved date range filter

(using Android device) - Date filter does not go pre-2016. This would be very nice to have a comprehensive date filter (so far I have found, just by scrolling for a long time, old sermons dated back to 1930 that were unloaded.)

Search / Filter function on the apps now searches the entire library of content.
