Apple CarPlay
Is there a possibility to be compatible with CarPlay in the future? Meaning, AC Central being accessible from the CarPlay Home Screen?
Answer
We had our developers look into creating versions of AC Central for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for 2025. Unfortunately, this is cost prohibitive both from an initial dev. standpoint and also ongoing maintenance. So for now, this has been removed from our feature roadmap. This is not to say we would not reconsider at some point in the future if there is enough demand for it.
CarPlay is something we'd like to support and it is on our planned future roadmap, but we don't have a development cost estimate yet. That price tag will determine whether or not we can actually do it.
