Thanks for reporting this, as our Android test devices do not show that. What model phone do you have and what version of the Android OS is it running?

Thanks for reporting this. We have verified that the last app update caused live-streaming problems which only affected Android users. A fix has been developed and another update submitted to the app store which should be available probably either today or tomorrow.

Please tell us whether you are using an Android or iPhone, the device model, and the AC Central app version (touch the gear icon).

We are looking into this but so far have not been able to replicate this on our Android test devices. So at this point, we are looking for the user community to upvote this if it is indeed a widespread issue.

In order for the forum posters to provide you any help, you need to include more information. This is likely not a bug or there would be thousands of people complaining about their app not playing. Do you have an iPhone or Android? What phone model? What version of iOS or Android operating system is your phone running? What version of AC Central are you using (the number is listed on the Settings screen).

It might have to do with the development framework they are using vs what we are using and how those frameworks are allowed to interact with the Apple/Google operating systems. This moderator is not a developer so I am only guessing.

We are aware of this issue, and technically, it is not a bug. According to our developer, both Apple and Google prevent the lock-screen player from syncing with the app player when the device is locked. That means that if the recording finishes while your phone is locked, the app played position is going to show the last point it was before your device went to sleep. In order for the app to correctly save the last played position, you have to be in the app when you stop playing. This is not ideal, but currently, we cannot change it.

The volume level for sermons is determined by each congregation's sound bench. It varies from church to church. The same would be true for podcasts/events, etc. - that is set by the podcast producer. We just did a quick comparison of various churches in AC Central vs podcasts on another app vs Apple Music and find volume levels to be quite similar. What type of device are you using?

Thanks for the additional info. What type of device are you using and what version of the operating system do you have?
