I don't want to start a fight here, but I want to add my 2 cents. The ACCA has been using technology to record audio sermons since at least the early 1940's, and that was almost as soon as the technology was available.
Prior to the AC Sermon Streamer in the mid 00's people had to call into a congregation, or wait for a tape or CD to be sent to them. The AC Sermon Streamer gave members that were sick, on vacation, or living in an area with no AC congregation a way to listen to sermons whenever they wanted to.
Now we have ACCentral that allows anyone to listen to or watch the sermons and special events as the happen, or go back and listen to a sermon that touched them, or catch sermons from around the country from congregations they have friends at, or events they do not have the time, or resources to visit.
I have also talked to many elderly members that can not get to church all the time due to mobility issues that have been blessed by being able to see their church family vs. just hearing the audio.
Just my thoughts, but I don't think embracing technology is a new thing for the AC church, or that this website/app is something "Of this age." I do not know of another denomination with a tool like this... If anything, the AC Church is ahead of the curve with this project.
I agree that this would be a great option. It would also be nice to be able to search the entire silver lining catalogue.
I also have almost all of the older issues in OCR PDF format if you would like to upload them to ACCentral.
They just fixed this for me. They had to delete my old account so I could create a new one with the same email.
I am having a similar, but different issue. When I go to sign in, It says my password is wrong, and when I try to send a reset email, it says there is not an account tied to my email, but when I try to create a new account with my email, it says the email is already associated with an account...

>But....are you sure you want to let AI generate takeaways for you after the fact instead of the Holy Spirit making personal application while you listen in church?
Good point! Also, AI has a tendency to add information if you do not prompt it correctly. I fed a PDF of Marching to Zion to Gemini, and asked it to make me a list of all current and former churches, and it gave me a bunch of random names, so I asked where it got them, and it told me that it had created a branch of the AC Church in the Warhammer Universe. I had never Googled, or asked Google AI about the Warhammer Universe. I think asking it to pull out the points in a Sermon could result in something that does not even resemble the sermon.
