Honoring our parents vs respecting our parents

As an adult what does it look like to honor our parents vs respect our parents? Does it mean we can go against what they believe and yet still have a healthy respect? What does that look like? Once we get married do we keep a healthy "fear" or respect of them and do what we've always been taught without question? Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for your time.
