Volume Level
The volume level is usually barely sufficient, I have to turn the audio up as high as it will go in my headphones, car or using my phone speaker and it’s just barely loud enough to hear clearly. This issue is across churches, phones (others around me have the same issue), and podcast/sermon/events/etc and has been goi by on for as long as I’ve had the app (multiple years). I assumed this would eventually resolve but it hasn’t yet so decided to post. Any other audio played by the same phones is extremely loud at the same volume setting at which AC central is barely sufficient to hear. Anyway this can be fixed?

The volume level for sermons is determined by each congregation's sound bench. It varies from church to church. The same would be true for podcasts/events, etc. - that is set by the podcast producer. We just did a quick comparison of various churches in AC Central vs podcasts on another app vs Apple Music and find volume levels to be quite similar. What type of device are you using?
I am using apple iPhone SE third generation. My husband uses a Samsung S series that’s pretty new. I should clarify after some experimentation that the speaker is usually ok, except for streaming live services, then it’s often not as loud as it could be. The issue seems to be more when listening on bluetooth. In our Kia van, a Case IH tractor, and our two different Bluetooth headsets we struggle to get the volume high enough. The general conference recordings are good recent example of this. I can turn up the volume on my phone speaker and it will be loud enough across the house, but if I wear my Bluetooth on the highest volume it’s ok if all is quiet in the house but the slightest other noise will overwhelm the audio feed and make it difficult to understand. I understand that our Bluetooth headsets may suppress volume for safety reasons but it doesn’t track that casting to a vehicle or tractor speaker system should have the same issue? We don’t have this problem while using Spotify, Apple Music or other audio platforms.
Here is a more specific example. The volume range in our van and tractor is 1-50. For Spotify a comfortable listening range is 20-25. On AC central it’s 45-50. If I turn on Spotify after listening to something in AC central the volume level is enough to hurt the ear, while I can’t get AC central to even uncomfortable levels.
Forgot to add that I use the apple version of the app but my husband uses android and has the same problem
