View password at login screen

A friend pointed out to me that there is not an option to show the password characters on the login screen, like a lot of login interfaces have.  He said that it's come up with some elderly parents and grandparents and thinks it would be beneficial to have a "show password" button, like the little eye that many sites have, and I told him I'd pass along his suggestion.
