brianesteffen 2 years ago updated by Admin 9 months ago 9

When trying to turn phone sideways to watch full screen in landscape, it rotates for a second then goes back to portrait. 3 phones in my family has this issue. I tried locking and unlocking auto rotate but it's not the issue. Android phone. Thanks for this great service! We appreciate you!

The March 2024 update 4.0.17 should have fixed this.

This appears to have broken again.  I have tested on both a Pixel 7 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.  It would be quite nice on the tablet to have a landscape view.

We will look into this. So far, our Pixel phone tester is not experiencing this issue but we need to locate an Android tablet to check. Can you let us know what version of the Android operating system each device is running that has this problem?

Pixel 7 running Android 14

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 running Android 14 and One UI version 6.0

Thank you!

We just got our hands on a newer Android tablet and can now replicate this issue on a tablet. Our developers have been notified and will work on a fix. However, we have yet to find an Android phone that exhibits this issue. If you have friends / family who are Android users, could you ask around and find out if others are experiencing the same (whether on phone or tablet) and let us know their device details and Android version?

Fixed

This should now be fixed with the 4.0.3 update.

My phone is a Galaxy S22, OS is Android version 13 and I just updated it again today with update 18.  I hope this helps, thanks!  If we figure my phone out, I can apply the corrections to my parents' phones.

I also have a Galaxy S22, and am experiencing the same issue.

Thanks for reporting this. Our Android test devices are not experiencing this so we need a little more information. Could you let us know the device models and versions of the operating systems of the three phones you have?
