New updated app doesn’t load sermons correctly

This problem only began with the new app…only the first 10 sermons of every congregation load instantly. If you want see anything beyond the first 10 sermons…you have to refresh and refresh and get out of the app and reopen it. Sometimes it never will load more than 10. If it won’t load more than 10, it also will not search more than the 10 sermons that show up in that particular congregations. It also will not show any downloaded items until all the archives have loaded. Just wondering why this would only be a problem that started with the new update?  Running iOS 14.6

Version 4 of the app uses a different method of fetching data which should have resolved this issue. If not, please post a new issue. This is one is being closed since it refers to a prior app version.

The 3.0.3 updates release in the past week fixed a caching issue with the sermon list. Now it loads instantly instead of taking ~5 seconds. While that is different than the problem you describe, most likely they were caused by the same thing. Let us know if the update fixes your issue.

This has been my experience as well. Using Android. Happens when not connected to wifi.

We have not been able to replicate the issue you describe on any iOS devices we have. What we are seeing is that there is sometimes a ~5 second delay before the sermons load, but they all load at that time. This is because is it querying the database to refresh the list. We are working on way to speed that up. Regarding your issue, if your device can be updated to iOS 15, please do so and report back.

If other users are having the issue of it only loading 10 sermons, please upvote this post so we can determine if this is widespread.

Prior to the updated app, I could scroll through several years of sermons while using cellular connections.

Since the update, only 7-10 will load no matter how long I wait. It works fine with a WiFi connection.

Please indicate what version of Android you are running as well as the version of AC Central.

Android is 7.1.2

AC Central is 3.0.3.504

Please help us track this down by doing the following: On your phone, turn off wifi, verify that you are currently having the problem in AC Central, then run a speed test on your cell data (you can use an app like Speedtest by Ookla or Fast). Then post your download speed to this issue in the forum.

Same here…which is slightly frustrating because if it won’t load more than the 7-10 first sermons from a church, it also won’t load your downloads meaning that if your out and about away from a WiFi connection, downloading ahead of time to listen later isn’t a viable option.
